Sandy Wilson
Magician
Sandy Wilson became interested in the
Art
of Magic at the
age of 9. At the age of 16,
Sandy
was performing
semi-professionally
in the Fife area, and gaining a
reputation as a
highly skilled children's entertainer,
and was
a
member of the Magic Circle's Youth
Initiative programme, The Young
Magician's
Club.
By the age of 18, Sandy had been
published
in Abracadabra,
the world's only weekly magic
magazine,
read by magicians all
over the world, and began
running
The Magician's Corner website which helped
young aspiring
magicians with hints, tips and
debates on their art.
At the age of 27, Sandy was a
finalist in the Edinburgh's Got Talent
show at the Edinburgh Corn
Exchange, and at the age of 28,
Sandy became a full member of The Edinburgh Magic Circle,
and at the age of 29, became a member of Equity, and is now
an appointed member of The Edinburgh Magic Circle Committee.
Sandy has performed magic for
countless
private birthday parties,
functions, nursery schools, retirement
homes, and has performed
at events for Sky TV, British Gas in both Edinburgh and Manchester,
The
Foresters, Edinburgh Council, Midlothian Council, and
the
University of St Andrews. He was also one of the stars of the
Edinburgh Magic Circle Open Night 2009 at the Pleasance in
Edinburgh.
